To Annie’s family & friends So sorry to hear of Annie’s passing. She fought a long & courageous battle. Annie impacted a lot of people in the health care sector, putting the patient’s care as the # 1 priority as well as coaching and mentoring hospital staff over the years. It was an honour serving with you on the KDH Board in past years. She will be missed. R. I. P. Annie.

I was very saddened to hear of Anne’s passing. We grew up together in V-town and my mother Erika worked for the Weilers for a number of years so I got to know her early on. To say I had a soft spot for her would be an understatement. She touched many hearts and will be missed.

please find some comfort in this Bible scripture, “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice+ 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, ” This is God’s promise to us. My condolences goes out to all the family and friends.

I thought of An a lot over the holidays, and realize how much I miss her. It is a strange feeling of emptiness that I cannot explain. What I do know is that I miss knowing that she is only an email or phone call away. My heart goes out to her family and to her very close friends who were with her when she most needed them. You won’t be forgotten, Annie XO

Heartfelt thoughts go out to An’s family and close friend Paula. I had the privilege of teaching with An at Northern College, sharing our locker at KDH and in fact we wore each other’s RN badge for a shift… by mistake:) An was always smiling, laughing, and caring. She will be missed!!!

Our condolences to Annie’s family, very close friends (Paula,Pat,Linda and Jean ) and her many other good friends and co-workers. KDH and the Health Care Community of the north has lost a wonderful nurse, leader, teacher, and champion ! Her ever present positive attitude and that radiant smile will be missed by so many but never forgotten. Her loss is a sad one for us all.

My deepest sympathies to An’s family and friends and a special thank you to her dear friends who cared for her this past while. You are her angels. I met Annie in 1999 at KDH and count it a privilege to have worked for her and with her. She was a wonderful person, always with a smile and kind word. I’m thankful for our last conversation just a few months ago when I gave her a surprise phone call from the west coast. It was great to talk with her again. She will be greatly missed. Til we meet again, Annie, rest in peace. Cindy Barnes (Proulx)

Gail Davis, le 1 mars 2021

I remember Anne as a new graduate and a young enthusiastic nurse at KDH. It was obvious very early that she had leadership skills. She was excellent at handling any medical emergency. With her pleasant nature, she could calm difficult situations. She will certainly be missed by everyone in Kirkland Lake, Kenogami and Virginiatown. Her compassion and caring for her elderly parents was obvious as well when they were ill. They were certainly proud of her. May she rest in peace and be blessed for all the good she did as a nurse, friend and daughter.

Wendy van Vianen, le 1 mars 2021

Helen Skawinski, le 1 mars 2021

The Kirkland & District Hospital has lost a fearless leader but she has successfully mentored those that follow. She was so proud of each of you and she never hesitated to tell me how lucky she was to have all of you as co-workers, teammates and friends. You all meant the world to her. You were family. In September we shared an afternoon and evening with friends to celebrate a 60th birthday party. She called me 3 times that day. She was so nervous about coming. Her appearance altered. She didn’t want anyone to worry or be sad if they saw her. I told her if she wasn’t up to coming then we would all understand but if she really wanted to be there…she should come. She came! We had a great time, full of laughs. Her quick wit. Her humor. She brought her “A” game. No surprise. Her ability to make us forget what she was up against was remarkable. She was herself. She was our Annie. It has been a joy to have known An. Rest in peace dear friend. Rest in peace. Patty Quinn & Steve Bougie

Patty Quinn & Steve Bougie, le 1 mars 2021

My deepest sympathies to Anne’s family and closest friends. Anne was one of my nursing instructors and I was fortunate to be in the first group she ever taught. She brought such energy and fun to the whole learning experience. Anne quickly became the ‘favorite teacher’ as she was always smiling and ready to give you her time. She was a great mentor and I was privileged to work with her for a few years after graduation. I’m deeply saddened to hear of her passing! She truly had a heart of gold! God bless and RIP Anne! Thanks for all you have done for us all along the way.
