Agnes Arts passed away at the South Centennial Manor in Iroquois Falls on Saturday January 28th, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband John Arts, infant daughter Dianna, parents Charles and Clara Raes, siblings Joseph, Gerard, and Marcel (Anne) and infant great grandchild Molly. She is survived by her daughters Joan (Ric) Atchison, Linda (Dale) Godin, Mary-Lou (Mike) Lauzon, and Vivian (Brian) Caron; grandchildren Jason (Stephanie), Scott (Angela), Jennifer (Ryan), Raymond (Cheryl), Theresa (Matthew), Christopher (Sonja), Matika, Erica (Nolan), Angela (Nawar), Sarah (Kyle), and great grandchildren Lucas, Wilder, Poppy, Naomi, Reuben, Maeve, Nevay and Onyx; sisters-in-law Katie, Juliette, An, and Mary and brother-in-law Ted and friend Emily. Agnes was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1953. She had a passion for writing, gardening, music, dancing, and biking. She was known for her positive attitude, hospitality, and wonderful sense of humour. The funeral will be held at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Englehart on Wednesday, February 1st, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the South Centennial Manor in Iroquois Falls or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
