In memory of Mr. Lorne Pacey of Temagami who passed away peacefully in Temiskaming Hospital on June 4, 2007 in his 92nd year. Loving husband of Verla (Goddard) for 62 years, father of Grant (Sheryl) of Stittsville and grandfather of Shane (Sooyoung) of South Korea, Brendon and Evan of Stittsville. Dear brother of Verdun (Dorothy) of Temagami, Allan (Jill) of North Bay and sister-in-law Ruth of Calgary. Predeceased by brother Jack, sister Verla (Frank McCulloch) and Violet (Wilfred Despres Sr). Member of RCAF for 5 years serving overseas during WWII, Long-time businessman in Temagami in partnership with his brothers Verdun & Jack & as an independent insurance agent. 25 years as a Presiding Justice of the Peace and Padre of Temagami Canadian Legion. Lorne was past District Deputy Grand Master of the Nipissing East District of the Masonic Order and a member of the Board of General Purposes of the Grand Lodge of Canada for the province of Ontario. He was the first Lay Presbytery chairperson in Northern Ontario for the United Church of Canada, Past Vice-President of the Temiskaming and District Hospital Board, a member of the Temagami Station Restoration project and on the Board of Directors of the Temagami Community Foundation. Friends may pay their respects to the family at the Temagami United Church, Friday June 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at St Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Temagami at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 9. Donations in memory to Temagami United Church or the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 pm followed by a Legion Service on Friday June 8 at the Temagami United Church.
