August 16th 1924 – January 11th 2017: It is with great sorrow to inform you of the passing of Bill at the age of 93. Predeceased by his wife, Nona (2007), Sisters Ernestine Honeycutt (1968), Angeline Kenwell (1997) Pauline Clarke (2010) His Mother Ellen Connors (2001) His Father William Morin Sr. and son Bill (Buddy) Morin Jr. (2001).
Bill will be greatly missed by his surviving children, Janet Walter of Orillia, Robert (Debbie) of Timmins, and Terry (Perkko) of Onaping Falls, also by many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren & Great Great Grandchildren.
Born in Hailybury, ON Bill was an underground miner for 51 years, starting at the Hollinger Mine in 1938 at the age of 14 and then the at the MacIntyre mine and the Pamour Mine in Timmins, On. He then moved on to Yellowknife and worked at the Giant mine and sinking the shaft at the Discovery Mine He missed his home and moved to Cobalt and worked at the Langis silver mine and also the Upper Beaver mine in Dobie, On., then finished his working years at the Kerr Addison Mine in Virginiatown,On., in August 1989.
