On Tuesday November 1st The Legend, Mr. Wilfred (Fred) Lefebvre passed away suddenly while doing what he loved at the young age of 72! He was born to Margaret and Rene Lefebvre on February 7, 1950 in Mattawa, Ontario.
Fred is survived by his wife Bonnie, and his children Jacqui, Daniel (Kavita), Troy (Ashley), Lyle (Ashley) and Mitch (Diana) as well as Ben Jr. and Erica and many grandchildren! As well as his sisters and brothers Jeannine (Harold), Richard (Sylvie), Mike (Jackie) and Terry (Kenny), and his Brother-in-laws Doyle and Mike. Fred is predeceased by both his parents and his first wife Shirley. Fred had so many friends and extended family that we cannot mention them all!
Little Indian the man, the Legend spent his life doing what he loved. From the age of 14 driving a truck in a potato field till the day he passed he was a trucker. A legend known by so many whether it be for his cow bell signoff on the CB to the crazy rubber chicken that had a convoy of trucks stop to pick it off the highway when it fell out of his hand while driving. It was this life of being on the roadway away from his family where he combined his passion with his responsibility as a husband and father to provide for his family.
The little man with a big personality will be missed by all that he met and interacted with in the area he lived and the roads he travelled.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 5th at 1pm at the New Liskeard Community Hall with a Truck procession to follow! Everyone is welcome! In honour of Fred don’t come too dressed up!
Donation to the New Liskeard Bikers Reunion Cancer Community Care can be made in Fred’s honour! The Bikers Reunion was one of his loves!
