I never knew Wende prior to her being stricken with cancer, and realize she has had alot of health struggles threwout her adult life. However, i met Wende when I was admitted to the KLD Hospital and shared her room. We spent 24 hours a day together for one week, and that was enough time for her to have made such an impression on me that I will never forget her all of my living days. I watched her struggles and could not help but admire how much effort she put in to every thing she did. I soon found myself rejoicing along side her for all of the truumphs she had made each and every day, things that you and I would feel were routine, she filled with glee. We laughed, ALOT! The nursing staff often came in to find out what was going on, and were soon named the Thelma and Louise of the floor. I loved it when she laughed. We shared, she and I talked about everything. I have never learned so much about one person and the life they lived in one week, ever. She was beautiful and i was impressed by her strength and the glow of her heart kept me awake at night. Wen, I wish I could have known you when. Be at peace now my friend. I loved you and was blessed to have shared the intimate time we had together, my life is inriched for having gotten to know you. I will always think of you. April?? Aka (Thelma)
