Parson, Wayne -The family announces with sorrow the death of Wayne Parsons at the Temiskaming Hospital on July 30, 2012 at the age of 67 years. He was born October 8, 1944, to Ernie and Vera (Shackelton) Parsons. After graduating Grade 12 from Clark Side Road in London, Ontario, Mr. Parsons worked as a self-employed carpenter and a farmer who recently retired from the Temiskaming AG Centre. He enjoyed bicycle riding and walking the dog. He was also a member of the New Liskeard First Baptist Church. Mr. Parsons was a very family-oriented man, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked hard all his life and was dependable. He enjoyed visiting and sharing with family and friends and was known as a friendly, calm and humble man. Mr. Parsons is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Agnes Marie (nee Richardson) whom he married on March 15, 1969; children Christopher, Richard (Mary Alberta), Lena (Damon Adams) and special son Jesse; grandchildren Eleanor, Emily, Colby; twin brother Walter (Connie) and brothers Lenard (Jackie) and Leon; sisters Myrna (Charlie Hough), Verna (Barry Stratton); sister-in-law Elsie (John Christian); brothers-in-law Mike (I.J.) Richardson, Bob (Brenda) Richardson. He was predeceased by his parents Ernie and Vera Parsons. The family of the late Mr. Parsons will receive friends and family at the 1st Baptist Church, New Liskeard on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday August 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the 1st Baptist Church. Rev. Bob McCarthy officiating. Internment to take place at the Harley Township Cemetery. If desired donations to the 1st Baptist Church or to the Charity of your Choice would be appreciated by the family.
