Mrs. Doxsee, Lynda, Jimmy and Daniel, we were so blessed to grow up together and to become so much more than neighbours, we became family and it still is so to this day. There are so many amazing memories of this but one I remember for sure-probably along with everybody else on the street, was your Dad coming out in the driveway to whistle really loud so that wherever the gang was playing in the neighbourhood you would know it was time to go home for supper or if it was after supper it was your call to come in for the evening. He lived a long life and got called home himself on his own terms. Now he is with other loved ones and most importantly John. He and John are now watching over all of you together until you are all once again together some day. Hold on to our wonderful childhood memories, there are so many we have been blessed with. I have such fond memories of the time I spent at the Doxsee household as a child. Agnès only got to meet Wayne in her teenage years, but she feels no less privileged than I do to have known him. My father had enormous respect for Wayne, and justifiably so. We all did. We know how much you will miss him, but we hope you will take solace in knowing how much Wayne impressed everyone who met him and in how much time you got to share with him. One of my first summer jobs was working for “Mr. Doxsee”. Mrs. MacDonald was his long time secretary. A very calm, almost soothing, office environment. On hot afternoons, in the second floor non-air conditioned office, Mr. Doxsee insisted a hot cup of tea was the better beverage. He would have been in his 30s then. He never stopped being a soft-spoken kind man. My very sincere condolences.
