Wayne Carisse,

WAYNE CARISSE,

2021

It is with great despair that the family of Wayne Dwight Carisse announce his passing at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 after a long-fought battle with cancer. Wayne had a love for gambling. He took pleasure in playing cards with his family and playing slots at the casino. He greatly enjoyed taking family trips to hot destinations, and he was a die-hard Montreal Canadians fan his entire life. Wayne will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his wife, soulmate, and best friend, Gay (nee Gibson) Carisse, children Wayne Leonard (Melissa), Clint Carisse (Amanda), and Corina Carisse, and grand-children Andrew, Nicholas, and Madeline. He had a special bond with his `little girl` Candy, grand-dogs Maggie, Mya, and Lacey, and they will miss him dearly. Wayne has been reunited in spirit with his parents Mabel (nee O`Bumsawin) and Joseph Carisse, and dear daughter-in-law Amanda Gannon Carisse (1982-2011). Wayne leaves behind many family and friends who are saddened by his passing; brothers Brian O`Bumsawin (Claudette), Richard `Duke` Carisse, Gary Carisse, and Joseph `Joe-Joe` Carisse (Suzanne); sisters Sheila Carisse, Cyd Carisse, Gayle Carisse and Dawn Carisse; sisters-in-law Donna Vandeberg, Audrey Roy (David), Debbie Kearse (Brian), Joy Young, and Kim Saunders (Gordon); brothers-in-law David Gibson (Patti), and Glen Gibson (Anna); and many nieces and nephews. The family will welcome friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home in Kirkland Lake on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 2 pm – 4 pm and from 7 pm – 9 pm. A service will be held at Monette & French Funeral Home on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10 am. The family would also like to invite friends to a reception to be held at the Polish Hall after the service. Donations in Wayne`s memory can be made to Timiskaming Palliative Care Network, 145 Government Road East P.O. Box 3000 Kirkland Lake, ON, P2N 3P4.Offer Condolence for the family of Wayne Carisse
