WRIGHT (NÉE SMITH), Wanita

1937 - 2022

Wanita Florence Wright, née Smith, of New Liskeard, ON passed away on November 29, 2022, at the Temiskaming Lodge with her family by her side.

A celebration of life will be held at the Haileybury Legion on Monday December 5, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Her burial will take place at the New Liskeard Valleyview Cemetery in spring 2023.

Wanita was born to Fred & Sadie Smith on February 26, 1937. She worked at the Board of Education from high school until retirement. She enjoyed playing broomball, baseball, bowling, bingo, card games and visiting the casinos.

Wanita is survived by her children, Wendy Wright, Delmer Wright, Penny Kirkey (Jack), April Miron (Randall), and Bonnie McDonagh and her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband Jerry Wright, parents Fred & Sadie Smith, sister Colleen Grant & brother Roger Smith.

Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

The family wishes to extend gratitude to the Temiskaming Lodge and Dr. Don Davies for their compassionate care.
