CHECKLEY, Valda Val Draper

In loving memory of Mrs.Valda Sharon Barbara Checkley who passed away at Englehart & District Hospital, on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the age of 73. Val enjoyed working at many part time endeavours thoughout her life. A few are: medical secretary, postal clerk, H & R Block tax preparer and shop clerk. She enjoyed the challenges and variety that came with each job. Val loved her family deeply, was an enthusiastic gardener and was devoted to her little dogs. Pre-deceased by her parents Donald & Helen Draper, her siblings Douglas, Blair, Dwight & Peggy. She is survived by her husband Walter, daughters Kim Checkley (Mike(, Jennifer Griffin (KellY), grandmother to: Chris (Taylor), Brandon (Laura), Michael, Trevor (Mallory), Tyler (Karissa), Leah (Tanner) and Riley. The family of the late Mrs. Val Checkley will receive friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, Englehart, Tuesday, December 27, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at McDonald Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 28, at 11:00 am. Rev. Sherry De Jonge officiating. Spring interment at the Charlton Cemetery. In memory contributions to Englehart & District Hospital Auxiliary will be greatly appreciated. Condolences, contributions and memorial candles may be left at www.mcdonaldfuneralhome.ca.
