Family of Thora Roman
We offer our sincere sympathies to everyone. Nick and Thora were long time friends of my parents, Ron & Joyce McGugan, and so we had many opportunities to visit, either at the lake or at their home in Swastika. We loved to hear Thora play her piano, and listen to their many stories of earlier years! Thora was such a sweetheart; her and Mum had many adventures, along with Helen G. together. May she now Rest In Peace!

Sincere condolences to the family. Ed and I were neighbors in Sesekinika for a few years. Thora was a lovely lady. Always had time for a visit as I walked by.

I knew Thora from the KL Community Choir and she agreed to sing at my wedding, 39 years ago. She was a very kind and beautiful woman with a voice to match. Always nice to stop and have a chat when I met up with her. Sincere condolences to her family.

Thora was a mentor to me - she taught me much about singing. Her deep mellow tones were lush and she always sang with comprehension of the meaning of her songs and an understanding of how to produce the best sound. Thora's Finnish songs, in particular, were favourites of mine. She was one of the people who influenced my decision to study classical singing.
I'm happy to hear she had such a good life. I believe she is with the angels now. May she Rest In Peace - my condolences to Thora's family.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of Thora. I remember her fondly as my very first singing teacher. She was a lovely woman and very humble in her opinion of herself. My mother approached her to ask her if she would teach me, and Thora wasn't sure if she could offer anything to me. Little did she know, that I went on to have a fulfilling career in music that is ongoing today. Thank you for sharing her with me. Mary-Ruth (Halsall) Roadhouse
