Terrance “Terry” Roland LaBerge,

TERRANCE “TERRY” ROLAND LABERGE,

2021

It is with the heaviest hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Terry LaBerge. Terry passed away peacefully at Extendicare, Kirkland Lake on January 21, 2021 surrounded by family and his sweetheart of 60 years. Terry was a loving husband to Betty Ann LaBerge (neé Labelle), beloved father to Terri Lively (Don Lively) and Doug LaBerge (Karen LaBerge), cherished grandfather to Brittany Giles (Richard Greenly), Kaitlin St. Pierre (Ryan St. Pierre), Karlee LaBerge (Adam Sawyer), and Landin LaBerge, and great-grandfather to Thomas Greenly and Hanna St. Pierre. Terry will be remembered with love and adoration by his family, countless friends, and by staff at Extendicare where he called home for the past 2 years. We have truly lost one of the good ones. They don’t make them like Terry anymore. He was a man of few words, though when he spoke, people listened. Terry was loyal, hardworking, honest, but above all, he had the biggest heart. He preferred the simple things in life and loved his family and friends unconditionally. Terry was incredibly dependable and reliable – you could count on him no matter what time of day, and no matter what the weather was. He was always just a phone call away to help or save the day. Terry met his sweetheart when he was just a teenager at Round Lake. Terry and Betty Ann married in 1962. They were together for 62 years and married for 60. Their love truly stood the test of time, always supporting one another. They would joke that their personalities were completely opposite, but they complimented one another perfectly. Betty Ann has always said, and is still saying, he was the “best husband in the world”, but Terry knew he had the best wife too. Terry was an avid fisherman, hunter, outdoorsman, and lived for the solitude that “the bush” offered. Terry’s favourite place to be was at camp in Mount Rose. He could usually be found chopping wood, cleaning fish from the day’s catch with a cold beer in his hand, or having his head scratched by Betty Ann. Away from camp, his favourite thing to do was chop wood with his best friend, Moe. There was nothing better than a beer and a visit to Moe and Jeanine’s. Terry was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Of the many roles he had in life, being “Papa” was one he was especially proud of. He loved his grandchildren and they adored him. They will forever cherish the memories of time spent together at camp, fishing, ATVing, snowmobiling, and enjoying a fish fry. Terry will be missed by so many. To know him was to love him. His legacy will live on through his family and through the countless friends and others that loved him. The sting of this loss will not fade, but neither will the precious memories held forever in our hearts. Rest peacefully. We love you and will miss you more than words can say.Offer Condolence for the family of Terrance “Terry” Roland LaBerge

Mr. MEREDITH Armstrong, March 1, 2021

I very sad to hear the news that Terry had passed on. I had the pleasure to work with him many years ago at Star Transfer and was always very impressed with his work ethic and quality of work. We always had to load his peddle run to Iroquois Falls a certain way, his way. Terry was also very well liked and considered a great guy by my Dad Jim. In my mind that was great compliment. Terry will be missed.
