Pollock, Stephen Whitcomb – Steve died at the Englehart & District Hospital on November 29, 2010 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Englehart on December 3, 1949 to Bruce & Zia Pollock and was a brother to Jeff, Stuart and Nina. Steve’s interest and involvement in sports be it football, hockey, baseball or golf over the years, has brought him many long lasting friendships. He has touched many with his humour and positive outlook on life. Most important to Steve, was his family. He will be sorely missed by his loving mother, Zia, his wife of thirty-nine years, Gwen, his children J (Anny Lemire), Allie and Stephen (Lesley Imhoff) and most especially by his grandkids Kate & Hannah, Ty & Cole and Jack, Charley (Chuck) and Grandbaby #7. He was an amazing brother to Jeff, Stuart (Heather Inglis) Nina (John Wallace), a great friend to Dawn and a special friend to Nate. He is also leaving behind many nieces and nephews who, along with everyone close to him, will miss his laugh, his storytelling and his love for life. We love you! A memorial service will be held at the Englehart and Area Community Arena Complex on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Englehart & District Hospital Clinic Expansion Project will be greatly appreciated. Condolences, contributions and memorial candles may be left at www.mcdonaldfuneralhome.ca.
