Stanislaw Klich,

STANISLAW KLICH,

2021

Stan’s earthly journey began in Krakow, Poland on June 27, 1917 and ended in Kirkland Lake, Ontario on February 8, 2012. Most of Stan’s working days were spent as an auto mechanic. He had the fondest memories working at Oliver Blais. Other jobs included a school bus driver, a welder, assembly worker at the Bata Shoe Factory in Batawa, Ontario. As an avid fan of CBC radio and television, Stan became a well informed “news junkie” who delighted in political conversation and debate. He enjoyed the talents of Canadian musicians, comedians and of course “Hockey Night in Canada”. Even in his nineties, Stan could be found picking blueberries & mushrooms, tending to his garden and especially fishing! One of his last pleasures was driving his scooter (The Cadillac) around the Kinross Pond. Stan was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (1998). Deeply saddened by their loss and missing him dearly are his children Barbara (Bill) Hodwitz and Richard Nieoczym (Dawn) and grandchildren Adrian (Karma), Andrew (Brianne), Raiden, Kathryn and Reiko. He will be fondly remembered by remaining relatives in Poland & Austria and “Summer” friends from Greece, Croatia, Germany and Canada. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held from the “Teck-Hughes” Chapel of the Monette & French Funeral Home on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with Father Wayne Mills officiating. Stan will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Donations in Stan’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.“GONE FISHING”Offer Condolence for the family of Stanislaw Klich

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at the loss of your father and grandfather. We admire the devotion of Stan’s family in his final days. Linda and I were blessed to visit with Stan a few summers ago and will cherish the memory of that sunny day in his garden. You, as Stan’s children and grandchildren will have many memories to keep him with you forever. Love from the Witczak family, neighbours of Stan and Mary on Main Street, Luba, Anne, Linda and Jean XXXXX

Barbara & Richard, Great loss and sorrow, we miss him dearly, just last summer we were talking to him, his mind so sharp he still remembered life in Krakow Poland, his years working with different people but most was the memorable years I have known your dad and your mother as you know when I first came to Kirkland Lake in 1959 your place was my second home a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life those were the good old times, the home parties, beach parties, drive-in theaters and of course the fishing excursions. Your dad was there for all of it and he never complained,he will be greatly missed, our sympathy to your family. Bogdan & Wanda Semkowski

We join you in pain due to departure of StanisÅaw, your Father, and our Relative . His way across the world was long: as a Polish soldier he left Poland after the World War II & through germany concentration camps finally found his home & family in Canada. He has done a lot of good in life, surely God is merciful to Him. We will always keep him in our memories. Zbigniew Piekarczyk, Austria/Europe

Our deepest sympathy to Stan’s Family. We got to know Stan when our aunt Verna Geroux rented the apartment in the back. On our visits to Verna, Stan often invited us in for a friendly drink and conversation. We always enjoyed his company….a real gentleman. Our condolences Brian and Gale Hamilton Lindsay ontario

my deepest empathy in the loss of your dad——– Stan was a good friend for many a year– always with his smile– and dry sense of humour– after college cLass he would come and take me fishing at culver park river— I would study and we would chat occasionally— his companionship will be missed– he came to visit my mom & dad, with mary many a time– both of them were like part of our family– deepest sadness for you BARB & RICK

Deepest condolences to the whole Family Stan was a great, charming man whose warmth, strength, love for life will stay with me forever and be cherished in my heart. I think each person from Europe and the rest of Canada, who has received his hospitality, feels grateful for his generosity and for embracing us strangers, making us feel at home and in this way becoming friends for a life time. His death is a loss…You are already missed, Stan

Barb & Rick, I offer you my deepest Sympathy on the passing of your dad ⦠Even though it has been a few years since I have last seen Stan I will forever cherish the memories of him , especially when he would take my dad & I fishing to his “Special ” place and also fond memories when Rick Dillane & I lived there attending Northern College and Stan would often cover over and provide the ” fire water ” and your Mom would bring over the perogies. Stan is now free to fish his favorite grounds with his loyal friend Topaz and enjoy your Mom’s perogies…..Stan will be deeply missed
