MENARD, Sidney
1944 - 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sidney Ernest (Duke) Menard on November 21, 2023 at the age of 79. Sid was born on July 16, 1944 to the late Alcide and Jessie Menard.
He will be forever missed by his loving wife of 58 years Yvonne (Belec) and his children Michael (Sonia), Patrick (Jennifer) and Catharine (Timothy). Poppa dearly loved his grandchildren Lori, Daulton, Chelsea (Gabriel), Jacob (Megan) and Noah. We are sure he is now snuggling with his great-grandson Colton Attwater. Duke was the brother of Susan (Ken), Skip and Paddy (predeceased). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to Doctor Moore and Doctor Kurki for their care and compassion provided. As well as all the nurses on four east, Betty Smallwood and HomeCare.
Family and friends are invited to his celebration of life on April 27, 2024 at the Kirkland Lake Royal Canadian Legion from 1-5.
Donations in Sid's memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Br.#87 - Poppy Fund (1 Summerhayes Avenue, PO Box 323, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3H7).
