I just found lastnight January 2, 2020 of the passing of Shirley. I was heart broken. I kinda thought something wasn’t right when i kept trying to call her house # and nothing would happen. I had a bad feeling about it. We googled her name and sure enough this is what i found. I did radiation with Shirley 5 years ago in Sudbury. Ever since that we had an unbreakable bond. I will sure miss her. Our phone conversations. love you. Love Shawna (she would call me BOO BOO)

Dear Val and family, I never met your mom and only learned of her death tonight, through her friend, Marie-Rose, who lived in the same apartment building. Marie described her to me and I saw and. heard you. I then remembered you talking about Shirley and Russell as only cheeky teenagers do. My sincere sympathy. Laurie

Cheryl, Valerie, John, Jim and Families, I am so sorry to hear that Shirley has passed. I have such fond memories of growing up in Swastika and your mom. She took care of all of us when we were kids. She was so much fun to be around….her laughter and spirit filled whatever room she was in! I had so much fun on the trip Cheryl, Shirley and I took to Orangeville when we were young…Shirley driving the half ton truck…we laughed all the way! She was one in a million and will be dearly missed. My deepest sympathies to all of you xo

My condolences to the Lang family. If you grew up in Swastika you were friends with someone in the Lang family. I have fond memories of working with Shirley at the lab on afternoons and promising to do the Reverend Rick routine if she made a pie for coffee break. Ill always remember her laugh when we did that. Her passing makes me very sad.
