It is with deep sadness that we announce Séraphine’s passing at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Saturday, June 11, 2011 with family at her side. Séraphine leaves behind her loving children Gisèle Larocque of Sarnia, Pierrette Labrie (Thomas) of Rouyn, Violette Nantel (Marcel) of Larder Lake, Jacqueline McLean (Réjean) of Guelph, Tony Borecki (Lorraine) of Sudbury, Lucy Kalnins (Randy) of Kirkland Lake and Anne Borecki of Timmins. She was a proud grandma to 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter; also much loved by her last surviving sibling Léonie Trudel of Rouyn. She was predeceased by her parents Placide Morel and Alice Prévost; her husbands Floriant Servais, Ovilla Beauchamp, Zygmund Borecki; and 19 siblings. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 from Paroisse Assomption at 10:30 a.m. with Father Henri Touaboy officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Nursing Home and the staff on the 4th floor at the Kirkland & District Hospital for all the care and compassion provided to our mother during her last days. Memere..I miss you and love you so much.I can’t beleive she is gone.She was the most amazing grandma ever.She tought me so much and I will pass down all her wisdome and recipes to my daughter. And I can only hope that someday I can be as strong as she was.I will love you always and forever..

Lucy, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Your mom lived a happy full life and I bet she’s looking down on you all with pride and love.
