To Mrs. Pittui, Mario and Franco. So sad to hear of Sam’s passing. He was truly a kind and classy individual who always made people feel so comfortable in his presence. A trait that he and his most wonderful wife Aline have passed on to his children and grandchildren. Whether simply coming over for a quick hello or sampling some of his great food fare, he always had a smile and kind word for everyone. Sam’s home was one of the most inviting homes to have the privelage of growing up around. He is certainly one of those individuals who will be missed but always in our memories.

À ma grande sur Aline, à mes neveux Franco et Mario, à leurs conjointes Pamela et Liz, à mes petites-nièces, Gabriella, Chiara, Éliana et Nina, recevez toute ma compassion suite au décès de Sam (Salvatore)…Dad…Nonno. Quel homme merveilleux avons-nous eu la chance de connaître. De son pays natal, l’Italie (Sardaigne-Siligo), il nous en a fait connaître les us et coutumes, la cuisine italienne et sarde. Il s’est intégré avec facilité à son pays d’adoption et il le remerciait de lui avoir donné épouse, enfants et petits-enfants. Toutes et tous, vous pouvez être fiers de votre Dad, de votre Nonno généreux, affable, toujours accueillant, heureux d’avoir de la visite, souriant, rieur et ayant un faible pour les petits enfants qu’il aimait tellement. Mrs Pittui, Franco and Mario, please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of your husband and father. Sam was a wonderful man who so proud of his family. He was a true gentleman and gentle man.

Aline, Franco, Mario and the entire Pittui Family, We extend our sincere condolences to you all during this difficult time and trust that Sam is amongst the angels and is well taken care of. I had the distinct pleasure of interacting with Sam on the golf course, the curling rink and culturally as members of the Italo Canadian Club. He raised the bar as a proud member of the Kirkland Lake community and was all about his family, his heritage and he embodied a quiet but fierce competitive spirit that would rear its head in a very sportsmanlike manner. Winning an Ontario Knights of Columbus curling championship in Orillia with Sam is still very vivid in my mind. No matter what hat he was wearing….paisano…team-mate…opponent…businessman, he left you with a special feeling that made the world a better place. Our world just isn’t as great today. God Bless!
