HYATT, Ruth Jennie (née Thompson) – It is with deep regret that we wish to inform Ruth’s friends and neighbours that she passed away at the Extendicare in Kirkland Lake, on Monday April 30, 2012, at the age of 93. Ruth led by example; when there was a job to be done she could be relied on to help in any way she was needed. She held various positions in the Order of the Eastern Star, Encore Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Ruth was honoured to be part of the Ladies Auxiliary for 57 years including holding the position of president of the Virginiatown Branch. Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband Sherman, son Sherwood, brother William, and her sisters Bessie Treford and Coralie Dinsmore. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her: sister Jessie Moore; children, Joan Gabriel and April Hyatt; grandsons, Richard White (Cheryl) and Adam Turcotte (Holly Graham); granddaughters Elaine White and Marlene Stewart (Bruce); great-grandsons Brandon White, Cole McCombe and John Stewart, great-granddaughters Sara White (Jason Boisvert), Amanda McCombe (Ryan Breault); and her precious great-great-granddaughter Madlyn. The Hyatt family will welcome friends at the MONETTE & FRENCH FUNERAL HOME (450 Government Road West, Kirkland Lake, ON., P2N 3L1) Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Legion Service and Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012 starting at 12:30 p.m. from the “Teck-Hughes” Chapel of the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Richardson officiating. Cremation will take place at a later date. Donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.Offer Condolence for the family of Ruth Jennie Hyatt

What a memory she has left us for our family here in Niagara Falls. I will always remember my cousin Aunt Ruth as I always called her. She was so full of joy and fun.I will carry her torch for her. Hi April so very sorry to hear about your mom she was the kindess lady I have ever known ….. she was like a mom to me when I lived there with you … she let us as teenagers spread our wings and never judged any one …. always a smile and kind word she would do anything for any one and always loved what she did every Friday we always had a surprise on our bed she would always have the best meals for us and even made me homemade chocolate she knew it was my favorite the morning after hehe She lived life to the fullest and loved everyone … I can only hope to do half the things she did in my life time and feel ok she was a very special lady and you were luck to call her mom … my thoughts are with you and Adam … love you my girl Hugs to you.
