Rosaire "Rosie" Gervais New Liskeard resident Rosaire "Rosie" Gervais died recently in New Liskeard. He was born in New Liskeard on October 11, 1936, to Joseph and Blandine (née Bélanger) Gervais. Educated in New Liskeard, he worked in sales and refrigeration at Eplett's and as a sales manager at Fortier Beverages. He married Rita Hébert in North Bay on August 4, 1956. Mr. Gervais loved the outdoors and loved having coffee with the boys. He loved to tease, play cards (euchre), do puzzles and was also a coin collector. Mr. Gervais was a man of his word who was always ready to lend a hand. He was also a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church. Mr. Gervais was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Blandine; wife Rita on February 1, 1998; sisters Rose-Aimée Lantaigne and Pauline Grandmont; brother Donald Gervais; and grandson Ian Labonté. He is survived by his siblings André Gervais, Gisèle Labonté, Paul Gervais, Jean-Guy Gervais, Marie-Jeanne Paquette, Fernand Gervais, Diane Coté, Normand Gervais and Michel Gervais; children Madeleine Labonté (Yvon), Debbie Valentine, Brenda Lamb (Mike) and Terry Gervais (Hélène); grandchildren Mélanyse, Karyne, Sylviane Labonté, Robert and Brendon Lamb, Cassandra Valentine, Jordan and Adam Gervais; and four great-grandchildren. The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel in New Liskeard with the service conducted by Father John Lemire at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church. Cremation has taken place.
