I miss seeing Ron taking his daily jaunt to go see his precious wife. Each day, I could see Ron come out of his home and down the street towards the store stopping to wave the cars by at the corner. He would sometimes tip an invisible hat to someone he thought he might know. Then across the street he would come, with a quick wave, over to Carol’s he would go. Sometimes I would see him heading back home, more often though, he would be there much after the store had closed, then the next day, along he would come again. He so dearly loved his Carol. On the day they were married, he was as excited as a little boy. When Carol finally got to the hall, he came running down the aisle exclaiming, “My angel is here! My angel is here!”. And oh, how he loved the bagpipes. You will be sorrifully missed Ron. May God hold your soul, till you and your soulmate meet again.

Carol Anne Henriksen (nee Burns), My friend of 42 years. We’ve been through many journeys including my first introduction to Ronnie in the 80’s. Time as it does keep ticking away brings other life directions for each and every one of us, but as a circle because it was when you lived near me in 2000 that the two of you met up again – he tracked you down…and the rest from that moment forward is beautiful history as I can attest to (being your maid of honour) and the beautiful vows you exchanged with one another. The heart felt love and devotion the two of you endured is forever certain. May you walk in peace with God as you walk this earth with another angel by your side. May his cultivating LOVE provide nourishment for your heart and soul.
