Robert (Bob) P. Woods Bob Woods of Hudson Township died unexpectedly on November 4, 2009, surrounded by his family. Bob was born in Harley Township on November 2, 1939, to Wellington and Isabel Woods. Bob worked at Len Wilson's bush camp for several years and at Wabi Iron Works for 30 years. He married Frances Bennett on March 4, 1961, and raised three sons. He was passionate about his family and the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and four-wheeling. He also enjoyed gardening, working with wood and was an accomplished "McGyver." He is lovingly survived by his wife of 49 years, Frances. Fondly remembered by his sons Randy (Sharon), Marty (Charlene) and Rick (Margie). Grandchildren Damian, Bryan (Charmaine) and Nadine Benson, Austin, Jessie and Terri-Lynn Woods and Melissa Patry. Great-grandchildren Liberty, Skyler and Keenan Benson. Survived by brothers Clarence (Gabby) of Hinton, Alberta, Russell (Frances) and Clayton, both of Haileybury, and sister Glennis (Ross) Emery of Renfrew. Also sisters-in-law Claudette Woods and Shirley Woods. Survived by mother-in-law Beatrice Bennett and in-laws Patricia Bennett, Catherine (Art) Handley, Sheila Conroy, Jim (Deanna) Bennett, Dorothy Sweet, Garry (Sherron) Bennett and Gail Bennett (George Newton). Predeceased by parents Wellington and Isabel Woods, father-in-law Fred Bennett, sister-in-law Evelyn Bennett, brothers-in-law Charles Bennett, Bruce Sweet, Doug Conroy, Odie Peddie and Ken Peddie, brothers Tom, Ernest (Lela), Leslie and sisters Gladys and Martha. Also fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 7 at Perrin Funeral Chapel. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Community Cancer Support.
