ROBERT MCCOLLAM,

Robert Alexander McCollam passed away peacefully at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by his father Clifford H. McCollam, and mother Marie B. McCollam (née Lynch) and many cousins. Bob is survived by his wife Margaret McCollam (née Rowan), two sons; Cliff (Amanda) McCollam, Ken (Anja) McCollam and one grandson Julian. Also surviving are; his mother-in-law Blanche Rowan; brothers-in-law; Bob (Christine) Rowan, Jim (Liz) Rowan, Bill (Carol) Rowan, Chuck (Jeanette) Rowan; one sister-in-law, Kathy (Mike) Carre and many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his close friends Jim Hodgson and Marty Taman. In his younger days Bob loved hunting and fishing. He was a miner, worked for the M.N.R. and before retiring he was an equipment operator with the M.T.O. Bob was often seen sitting on his deck with a cup of tea enjoying the sunshine. As per his wishes, his best friend, Dingo and cat Dixie, have gone to be with their master. Bob requested that there be no funeral.
