1946 - 2014

Robert "Bob" Peters, 68, passed away peacefully on December 8th, 2014 at his home in New Liskeard, surrounded by loved ones. Bob was born on March 10, 1946 in Timmins, Ontario to Arnold and Zelma Peters. He is survived by his loving angel Debbie Parmar, his daughter Karen Peters and her husband Mo Romaniuk (Ottawa), daughter Kim Peters and her husband Cameron Clark (New Liskeard), his son Darcy Peters and wife Sandra Hamway (Ottawa), and his granddaughters Savannah Peters (New Liskeard) and Danica Peters (Ottawa). He is also survived by his brother Bill and his wife Ann (Kincardine) and their sons Adam and Chad. He leaves behind many cousins including John, Kim, Paul, Margie and Diane Peters, his uncle Bud Watson, and his first wife Jeannine Grandmont. He will also be greatly missed by Debbie's three daughters Anisha (James) MacKewn, Stephanie (Jay) Ingleton and Amanda (Eric) Lefebvre. Bob is predeceased by his parents and brother Tony. Bob began his professional career working for the assessment office in New Liskeard, which led the family to move to Kirkland Lake, and then later settle in Timmins. After a few years, Bob and Jen opened a Radio Shack store which they operated for several years. In the early 80's, Bob began his successful career in finance first being promoted to branch manager and subsequently to Vice President. He received several awards throughout his career for his accomplishments. He also earned the trust and respect of his clients and fellow colleagues. He retired in 2012, shortly after meeting his angel, Debbie Parmar. As soon as they met, they were inseparable. It was impossible not to see one without the other, always holding hands. Not enough can be said to describe how this amazing woman awakened a new purpose in Bob's life. Bob will best be remembered for his love of life, laughter, giving advice & opinions, and beginning many conversations with the words "If I were you…". Family & friendships meant the world to him. He always made everyone feel welcome and special. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A special thank you to Dr. Steve Sears for all of his support, care and compassion. Visitations will take place at Perrin's Funeral Chapel Ltd.128 Whitewood Ave. New Liskeard, ON on December 12th, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's United Church 70 Wellington St. New Liskeard, ON on December 13th, 2014 at 11am. The family will receive friends and relatives after the service in the church basement. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Temiskaming Foundation P.O. Box 160, New Liskeard, ON P0J 1P0
