PELISSIER, Rene

Rene Pelissier died September 4, 2010 at home. Born in Elk Lake June 9, 1930 to Edouardo and Yvonne Pelissier, he was educated in Elk Lake. He married Jean Perron in Garson, Ontario in 1957, and worked as a tourist camp operator. He was very family oriented. He loved sports, travel and playing cards. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was predeceased by his father, his mother, one sister and four brothers. Mr. Pelissier is survived by his wife Jean; daughters Kelly (Serge) Marin, Marie (Phil) Goudreau and Lynne (Murray) Chester; seven grandchildren: Stefan, Patrick, Kyle, Marc, Justin, Shauna and Cassy; and three great-grandchildren: Madison, Tristin and Landon. The funeral arrangements were by McDonald Funeral Home in Englehart. A “Celebration of Rene’s Life” will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion – Montreal River – Branch 310 on Sunday October 10, 2010 from 4 – 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be greatly appreciated by the family.
