Raymond Murry Paquette Raymond Paquette died peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family, on February 15, 2011, in Cobalt. Mr. Paquette was born May 27, 1947, in Pembroke, Ontario, to Evelyn (Beauchamp) and Arthur Paquette. He married Norma Buchwald on October 30, 1965, in Chalk River, Ont. Mr. and Mrs. Paquette had four children - Kerry, Dean, Dwayne and Jason. The family made their home in Elk Lake where Mr. Paquette worked at Grant Home Hardware for 30 years. Mr. Paquette enjoyed the outdoors where he was most at peace. He shared his love and respect for nature with his sons and his grandchildren Kayla, Dalton, Alexandra, Ashley, Taylor and Tommia. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Paquette served as fire chief of the Elk Lake Fire Department. Mr. Paquette retired in 2006, at which time he rediscovered his passion for drawing and painting. He combined his love for nature and the arts, spending hours putting his life on canvas. Mr. Paquette was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Oliver, Wayne and Alex and his sister Linda Lusty. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Norma; sons Kerry, Dean, Dwayne and Jason; daughters-in-law Ginette Benoit, Chantal Roy, Tracy Lyttle and Christine Mark; his grandchildren Kayla, Dalton, Alexandra, Ashley, Taylor and Tommia; sister Dale Jobidon (Jessie) of Milton, Ont.; brother Arthur (Darlene) of Ottawa; and he will be fondly remembered by many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, family and friends. The family gathered at the Paquette home to celebrate his life. Arrangements have been entrusted to Perrin Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
