In memory of Mr. Ray Norman Arthur Andrews, a former resident of New Liskeard, who passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Woodstock, Ontario on June 7, 2014 at the age of 69. Ray is missed by his siblings Meta Horton of New Liskeard,Deana (late Bill Drinkill) of Dymond Township, Gail (David Becker) of North Bay, Garry (Joyanne) of New Liskeard and Dennis (Lillian) of New Liskeard, his many nieces, nephews, step nieces, step nephews and thier families, his Aunt Grace Tubman of Englehart Aunt Hulda Tubman of Prince George, B.C. Ray was predeceased by his parents Charles and Etta (nee Tubman) Andrews and his youngest sister Enneth Presse. Ray was a mechanical engineer and he enjoyed his job and exceeded in his work. Over the years he was employed at Pederson Construction, Northern Telephone and Wabi Iron Works in New Liskeard. For the last eighteen years of his career, he was employed at Mobile Energy Incorporated in Woodstock until he was forced to retire due to a motor vehicle accident, failing health and being diabetic. He enjoyed playing and watching hockey, reading, playing music with friends, family or himself. He was very quiet but well respected by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. from the Hillview Pioneer Memorial United Church. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in the New Liskeard Valleyview Cemetery with his mother in the spring. If desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the Heart and Stoke Foundation will be greatfully acknowledged.
