It is with sadness that the family of the late Ralph Taylor announces his passing on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Kirkland & District Hospital with his children by his side. Ralph was predeceased by his wife Elsie, parents Ralph & Iola Taylor, and his siblings Lowrey, Elsie, Bill, Bruce and Tom. He was the last survivor of his generation of his entire family. Ralph is survived by his loving children, Frank (Julie Fletcher) and Joanne (Shawn Dewan), all from Ottawa. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jeremy (Heather Macdougall), Tom, and Holly Taylor, as well as by many friends in Kirkland Lake, New Liskeard and the cottage community at Twin Lakes. He will also be missed by his devoted caregivers, Joan Aldred and Brenda Rodgers, whom the family thanks for their many years of compassionate and dedicated service. The family would also like to express their sincere thanks to the doctors, staff and exceptional nurses of the Kirkland & District Hospital who assisted with his care. The Taylor family will receive friends and relatives at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a Memorial Gathering to follow. Ralph will be laid to rest and a graveside service will be held in the summer at the Pioneer Cemetery in New Liskeard. Donations in Ralph’s memory may be made to the Kirkland & District Hospital Foundation.Offer Condolence for the family of Ralph Taylor
