LINGENFELTER, Peter John

Peter John Thomas (Jack) Lingenfelter Passed away peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his family, at the Temiskaming Hospital on Saturday, September 5, 2015, in his 82nd year. Loving husband of 47 years to Sharon née (Eckford), beloved father of Kimberley (Michael), Melanie (Derek), Jason (Sara) and Vince (Carey), proud grandfather of Emma, Melanie- Anne, Amanda, Olivia, James, Kayla and Matthew, and great-grandfather of Ethan. Survived by his brothers, Jake (Lucille) and Ken (Shirley) and sister, Marie (Dale), and predeceased by his brother, Bernard, and sister, Joan. Jack was born in Latchford, on April 7, 1933, son of the late Angus and Mary Margaret Lingenfelter. A devout member of the Catholic faith, he served as the Sacristan for the Mission of The Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Latchford, Ontario, for more than 50 years. He will be missed by many members of Our Mother Of Perpetual Help parish, as well as by many retired staff members of English Catholic Central School and St. Patrick School. Funeral Service to take place at Our Mother Of Perpetual Help parish in New Liskeard, Saturday, September 12th, at 11:00 AM. In memory contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
