JEPSEN, Peter
With heavy hearts the family announces the death of husband and father Peter Jepsen at the age of 75 years. Peter immigrated to Canada from Denmark at the age of 18 years. He worked for the first two years on farms in the Ottawa and Toronto area. Being an adventurer, he moved around working in western Canada in construction and in northern mining until finally settling in the New Liskeard area where he worked in construction, his specialty being concrete work. Pete's biggest joy in life was his family first, home and cottage life, gardening and fishing. He had a great interest in many things. His knowledge of history, geography, geology, the English language and religion was amazing. Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 48 years Hilda, his two daughters Tanya, Cindy and son-in-law Sylvain Brison. He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters and two brothers in Denmark and his son-in-law Chuck Breault. Although his death leaves a big hole in our hearts and lives, we have many great memories of him and his unique sense of humor. Cremation has taken place as per his wishes. A celebration of his life will be held at his home at 58432 Kivi Road, off of Waughs Hill Road, Harris Township on Saturday January 31, 2015 from 1:00 until 4:30 p.m. for family and friends
