"P.J." Paul Coté passed away on May 5, 2016 at the age of 87. He was born in 1929 and raised in Timmins, Ontario. In 1955 he was transferred to New Liskeard where he worked 40 years as a lineman for Ontario Hydro. Prior to his transfer he traveled all over Ontario as a surveyor. Come autumn, Paul always took off hunting with his three sons and grandson. It was his ultimate joy. Come spring, he enjoyed going to the sugar shack. Paul was a Richelieu Club member for some 20 years and became their president for a one year term. He also served on many church committees for the Sacred Heart Parish. Paul also had been a volunteer fireman for 4 years in New Liskeard and was chief fireman in Dymond Township from 1966-1968. At the age of 14, Paul was presented with one of the highest awards in Boy Scouts of Canada "the Queen Scout badge". Paul is survived by his wife Juliette (Depatie), daughter Josette (Henri Lafond), Al (Linda Dunn), Jean-Roch (Nancy Brunette), D'Arcy (Trisha Morrison). Three grandchildren Ryan (Rachel Charlebois), Jennifer (Chris Moore) and Stacy (Kevin Utas), two step grandchildren Chris Cloutier and Jeff Miller, great grandchildren Eli and Brent Coté, Jada and Gavin Utas. Per his wishes he will be cremated and a gathering for for his family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 7, at noon to celebrate his life at the New Liskeard Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation
