BEGIN, Patricia Ann
It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Patricia Anne Begin. Pat passed away at Extendicare Nursing Home in Haileybury on Thurdsday, October 1, 2015 at the age of 64. Patricia's life began in Sudbury, where she was born to Gerald and Glen Maloney and grew up with her four sisters, Wendy, Sandra (Andre), Joanne (John) and Laurel (Mark), who survive her. It was in Sudbury where she met, fell in love and ultimately married the love of her life, Richard Begin and they have been lovingly married ever since. In 1973, Pat and Richard welcomed their first child, Chantal. A year later,the family moved to New Liskeard, where Pat began her lifelong career as an X-ray technician at the Temiskaming District Hospital. The family was completed with the addition of their son Craig and daughter Kristin. In 2003, Pat was diagnosed with Alzheimer's /vascular degenerative disease. This illness ultimately forced her to step down from her career, and slowly but surely took her away from us all including her two precious grandchildren Simon and Lilly. Pat was a beacon of love and friendship to all those who knew her. Her kindred spirit enriched the lives of everyone around her. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Perrin Funeral Chapel and the memorial mass will be held at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church on Saturday October 3, 2015 at 11 am. Family will also receive friends at the Perrin Funeral Chapel on Saturday October 3, 2015 from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
