When I was 8 years old I fell off Richardsons dock. Norman was there and pulled me out the water. He saved my life.

As I look back over the years I realised that I have know Norm most of my life. All of this time , of course was with Northern. It did not matter if we were at work, on a Union Steward’s Course or touring the Casino in Orillia, he could always find the Fun side of things. Norm was an honest and open guy and when you were on the road in a small town, he was good company. I send my Sincere Sympathy to his Family Sincerly William Cunliffe (Bill)

This picture sure brings back memories of last year’s moose hunt. Being a friend of Shane’s I’ve known Norm for years, but up until last year’s moose season I never really had the chance to sit and talk with him. Staying out at the camp with Norm, Pete and Shane, telling funny stories while watching the hockey game and just enjoying each others company, will always be one of my fondest memories. Norm, you will be missed. My deepest condolences to the Selbie family. Sincerely, Greg Luke

We were so sad to hear about PJ’s Uncle Norman’s passing. He was always such a wonderful person to both PJ and I. We will remember him fondly out at the cottage enjoying the sun with his little dog. May you rest in peace, Norman. Our deepest condolences to Gail and her daughters, the whole Selbie family: – PJ’s mom, Heather, his aunts Marie and Margaret, his uncles Peter, Gordie and Jimmy and all who knew Norman. He truly was a wonderfully jovial soul. He will be missed. Lindsay Lamarche and PJ Lamy

A Message to Norm’s Family, Although it has been years since I have seen Norm I remember him as a warm and entertaining guy with a great sense of humour. Norm and I worked together in Sudbury back in the Seventies with Nortel. I still remember his entertaining us with his magic tricks that used to win him quite a few free beers in the local pubs. Since then I have worked all over the world, re-located to Texas for 20 years,Come back to Canada, lost my wife to cancer (She met Norm when she visited me in Sudbury) I have very fond memories of Norm and I think most people who met him feel the same way – This is his legacy You have my sincere condolences and if I had have gotten the word on his passing in time I would have been there to celebrate his life with the rest of his friends and relatives In Sympathy Joe Hill
