Neil John Frickey, of Larder Lake, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Kirkland and District Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Neil was born July 28, 1940 in Kitchener, Ontario and retired to Larder Lake in 2005 to live his dream in northern Ontario. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed the tranquility of the north. Neil was predeceased: by his wife, Sandra (nee Fedy); his parents, Nelson and Margaret (nee Lutz); and his young grandson, Shad (McKell). He will continue to be remembered by: his children, Brett, Darrin and Lisa (McKell); his grandchildren, Keoni, Tabitha and Shafiq; his sister, Faye; and his nephew, Scott. The family appreciates the hospital staff, at the Kirkland and District Hospital, who were extremely compassionate and took great care with Neil. He often said that they treated him like a king. Many thanks to his friends and neighbours in Larder Lake who treated him like family. Cremation has taken place and his family will return in the spring for a private gathering.Happy hunting Neil; May you always catch the “big one”.Offer Condolence for the family of Neil Frickey
