MORROW, Murray

1933 - 2022

Murray Eldred Morrow passed away at the age of 89 on October 27, 2022 at the Temiskaming Hospital.

Murray was born May 1, 1933 to Orra and Phoebe (Wilson) Morrow in Hudson Twp.

Murray farmed until the mid 70's in Kerns twp before moving the family to New Liskeard.

Also survived by Gertrude's children Monique & Simon and their children.

Murray always loved to go for a drive dragging the family along. Once the families started to move, his travels took him to BC and Southern On. until his health would not permit.

He enjoyed spending his last few summers camping in Sturgeon Falls with Gertie and friends.

Even up to his passing, he still loved to travel the countryside.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday November 1, 2022 at 11:00 am at Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative, Perrin Chapel (128 Whitewood Avenue, New Liskeard, ON P0J 1P0).

In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Dale Manor would be appreciated.

We are so sorry to hear this. Our Deepest Heartfelt Condolences to all of you .
Steven and I will cherish many many great chats with your Dad. He always had a nice wise comment to help us out throughout life. He spent many days working with Steven in the late 70's and 80's when Edwards Carpentry was a thing. Steven and I have always enjoying running into him . And hearing all about his adventures out west, his camping trips, all about how his kids were doing and growing, his new truck or his new wheels. He will always have a special spot in our hearts .

'Mr. Morrow' as he was always referred to, was an absolute favourite to run into. Carter and I loved to chat with him and shared many a wonderful story and memories of Inez, chevy chevettes, farming, our families and kerns gossip. He was a treasure and we pray that your memories and thoughts of him will bring you comfort in the days and weeks ahead.
Blessings Carter & Jennifer Seymour

Gertie, the Morrow family

May the memories of many years spent remembering the jokes, laughs and love surround all of you as honour Uncle Murray’s legacy, sharing stories that will keep the family roots alive. I have many myself starting on the farm in Kerns Township and later on when I occasionally stayed over in New Liskeard. Sending lots of hugs and love.

My deepest condolences to each and every one of you and your partners and families in the passing of a father and grandfather. Having lived only a mile north of the Morrow farm I would often run into Murray at various functions and usually had a chat with him. I know he will be missed by each of you in a special way. Rest in Peace Murray

Morrow Family

We were saddened to learn of Murray’s passing.
We had a good visit with Murray and Gertie just days ago.
We have such fond memories of our farming days when Murray and Ken would help each other with crops or anything that needed an extra hand. Our visits back and forth were so enjoyable.

Another family stalwart gone.
I remember our working in the hay days( not Hey Days ) long hot work, great meals (maybe some ketchup) early to bed and back at it early the next day! He pushed us and we are better for it! Then he sells the farm and begins his nomadic travel phase. Boy did he love those trips West and in later years camping in whatever new unit was now the Best! Hope you campfires are warm, the music good and the Mom and Aunt Verda keep you on the straight and narrow! No more pain…Rest in peace knowing you are missed and loved by family and many more!
