After a lengthy, but very courageous battle with cancer, Letitia Millicenth Clara (Williams) Cameron died at home on April 10, 2009. She was born April 17, 1932 in Charlton to Iva Peever and Charles Williams. She was educated in Charlton, and moved to New Liskeard in 1950 where she met her future husband, Carl Cameron. They were married June 2, 1951, and settled at 534 Lakeshore Road in New Liskeard, where they lived and raised their family for over 57 years. Mrs. Cameron was predeceased by her parents, sisters Marie and Bessie, and brothers Ross and Dick Williams. She is survived by her brothers Clair, Carl, Russel, Ripley, and Rae Williams. She is also survived by her loving husband, Carl Cameron, and her children Charlie (Lorrie) Cameron of Callander, Ontario, Harold (Marlene) Cameron of Hudson Township, Sheila (Doug) Randell of Hudson Twp., Ian Cameron of New Liskeard, and Karen (Frank) Ventresca of Oakville, Ont. She will be forever missed by her grandchildren Kyle, Marla, Hardy, Evan, Mitch, Fred, Jessica, Jamie, Aldo and Emma, and great-grandchild Hayden. Mrs. Cameron dedicated herself to her family first, being a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, wife and sister with a passion for life. She loved to cook, bake, and tend to her gardens, and there was always room for one more at her table. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Paul's United Church and was an active member of the United Church Women. She busied herself with her many crafts and enjoyed showing her finished projects at the local fairs, winning many ribbons for her quilts, knitting, sewing, braided rugs, and homemade jellies and pickles. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's United Church in New Liskeard on April 13, with Rev. Micol Cottrell officiating. In keeping with her wishes, donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church in New Liskeard. Donations made in memory to Community Cancer Support will also be gratefully acknowledged by the family and can be made online at www.perrinfuneralchapel.com. The family would like to thank Dr. Corbin for his care and understanding, and the CCAC team for looking after their mother with such compassion and dedication, without whom they could not have kept her home where she was comfortable and content. Also, a special thank you to Cindy Barron: "Words cannot express our appreciation for your care, commitment, professionalism and kind words through this very difficult time. We are forever grateful!"
