HORTON, Meta (Andrews)

In memory of Mrs. Meta (Andrews) Horton who passed away on Sunday September 13, 2015 at the age of 72. Meta was born on September 17, 1942 in New Liskeard to Charles and Etta (nee Tubman) Andrews. She married James Horton on September 20, 1969 in New Liskeard. She was predeceased by her parents, Etta in 1978 and Charles in 1993, her sister Enneth Presse, her brother Ray Andrews, her brother-in-law William Drinkill and her grandson Dylan Fowler. She will be missed by her husband James, her daughters Enneth and Charlene (Stephen) Fowler, her son Derek (Megan), her grandson Charles (Marley) Fowler, her step granddaughter Sydnee, her brothers and sisters Deanna Drinkill, Gail (David) Becker, Gary (Joyanne) Andrews, Dennis (Lillian) Andrews, and many nieces and nephews. Meta enjoyed writing out special recipes to share with family and friends, reading and writing letters to keep in touch. She also enjoyed knitting, going to teas and socializing. She was a devoted mother and caregiver to her mentally challenged daughter. As per her wishes, there will be no services at this time. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 2pm at the New Liskeard Valleyview Cemetery. If desired, donations to Community Cancer Care will be greatfully acknowledged.
