Gair, Maybelle

GAIR, Maybelle

1936 - 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Maybelle Gair at the age of 87.

Cherished mother of Rick (Kelly), Barry (Cathy), Janice (Joel). Predeceased by her son Hugh Morrison. Beloved Grandmother to Jennifer, Stephanie, Rebecca, Rachel, Kelsey and Nicole. Great Grandmother to Hattie and Atlas.

Born in Selkirk, Manitoba Maybelle spent the majority of her life in Northern Ontario Mining communities, settling in Thunder Bay for the last 30 years.

She loved to cook, curl, read and spend time with her friends, family and especially her grandchildren. Her annual trip with her friends to the Brier was the highlight of the year.

Our family would like to extend thanks and gratitude to Teck Pioneer Residence in Kirkland Lake and Jasper Place in Thunder Bay where Maybelle spent her final couple of years.

In keeping with Maybelle’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. She will be interred with her son Hugh Morrison at Mountainview/St. Patrick’s cemetery in Thunder Bay.

In lieu of flowers, donation to the local Salvation Army is appreciated.
