In Loving Memory if Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Jarvis who passed away at the Temiskaming Hospital on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the age of 96 years. Beloved wife of the late Mr. John Jarvis. Dear mother of Wright Jarvis (Mary), Paul Jarvis (Karen), Murray Jarvis (Doris), Eleanor Katona (Gerald), Hugh Jarvis (Dianne), Rosemary Schubert (Garry), Peter Jarvis (Marilyn), Wendy Clement (Thomas), Valerie Cazabon (Rick), Martin Jarvis (Diane). Loving grandmother of 26 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. Mary came north from Toronto to teach in Kenabeek in 1939 and stayed to marry and raise her large family. She loved the outdoors-gardening and berry picking, was an avid reader and Scrabble player, but her biggest interests were her church, family and friends. She was associated with the Thornloe Baptist Church and Bethel Gospel Chapel. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends in the community, at Northdale Manor and at the Temiskaming Lodge. The family of the late Mrs. Jarvis will receive friends on Monday, May 25, 2015 from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 26 , 2015 at 11 am from the Salvation Army Church.
