It is with great sadness that the family of Marion Josephine Rogers announces her passing on February 10, 2011 at the Kirkland & District Hospital. Marion was born in Kirkland Lake on Feb. 21, 1929. She is survived by her husband Ed, daughters Susan Lipasti, and Penny (Michel) Medig; three grandchildren, Kari and Kirsti Medig and Corey Lipasti, as well as her brother Ronald Loach. She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Ida Loach, younger brother Tom Loach, and younger sister Betty Ramsay. After a 38 year career in banking with CIBC, Marion retired to enjoy her family cottage. Marion and I spent many years together in aqua fit. She had a twinkle in her eye and a good sense of humour. Always kind and thoughtful of others. Sorry for your loss. She will be remembered and missed by those who knew her.

I don’t think I met Marion more than once or twice. But she must have been a wonderful person to have been surrounded by so many wonderful people. Sincere condolences to you all from Paul and Sheila LaDuke of Wiarton, ON.

Dear Ed and Family, So sorry to hear of Marion’s passing. She was always so good to both my Dad, Charlie Wheeldon and myself over the years of us banking at CIBC. She always had a comforting smile on her face and she always went the extra mile to please us. I hope that you, Susan are doing well and maybe someday we will run into each other. Our prayers are with you all during this sad time in your lives. Gerry Wheeldon and Family
