TAYLOR, Marianne

2020

TAYLOR, Marianne Left us peacefully at Temiskaming Hospital, Temiskaming Shores on November 18 2020 after a lengthy battle with pneumonia. She was attended by her 3 children. Born in 1934, an only child, she emigrated to Canada from England in 1957 to London, Ontario with her then husband William Taylor. She worked as a hairdresser, co-owning The House of Hair Fashion in London for many years. People were naturally drawn to Marianne for her warmth, sparkle, sense of fun and humour and her genuine interest in others’ well being. In 2001 she moved to Temiskaming Shores, near to family. She leaves behind children Jonathan, Jeremy and Lisa (Steve Goddard) and grandchildren Ben and Emma Goddard, Lily and Ronan Taylor, extended family in England and Scotland as well as many, many friends. Marianne suffered many serious health conditions over 40+ years but never lost her strong will and positive outlook. Her infinite good nature, patience, kindness and thoughtfulness were the hallmarks of her life. The family would like to thank the staff and physicians of Temiskaming Hospital and Haileybury Family Health Team for the wonderful care, particularly Dr Currie, Dr Lawson, Dr. Leger-Nolet, Dr Morency, Dr Lacasse and Dr Smith. Also, thanks to the many caregivers in Temiskaming Shores who attended Marianne and ultimately became friends. A celebration of life will be arranged in London, Ontario when the current pandemic restrictions permit. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.
