Maria, Mary and Joe moved into 861 Finch Ave, Pickering the house I was born in after we moved into the house next door that our dad built 857 Finch Ave when she was a little girl. I remember her brothers Peter and Jamie being born. Maria was such a sweet, quiet girl. I was so disturbed to hear of her passing today when my brother Dave Blakeley called me. May she rest in peace, and sending my prayers love and hugs to Mary, Peter, Jamie, all her children and grandchildren.

I am so sorry to hear that Maria has passed away, she was my neighbour growing up and good friend. May she rest in peace now, she was a wonderful person. She will be missed.

I have so many fond memories of Maria. Our summers at the cottage as children, practicing baton in Pickering, and exchanging funny cards through the years…. She was such a sweet, gentle,supportive and loving woman who will be deeply missed. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers….

I am so sorry to hear of Maria's passing. She was a great childhood friend, and my sister Joyce and I have so many happy memories of playing with Maria. I will always think of her as a little girl, showing us the steps she learned in dance class, or doing art activities with us in our backyard. She was a truly special person.
