Auntie Mag was a special aunt who I felt connected with across the miles. Even though it was years between in-person visits, I always felt a strong family connection. Auntie Mag will be missed by her western niece. I have several great memories; here are a few: 1) Traveling down east to celebrate Uncle Dick & Auntie Mag’s 25th Anniversary. When the happy couple arrived at the hall, Auntie Mag said ‘You’d think the people who the party was for would at least stand up’. Her humility made it easy for her family & friends to arrange the surprise party. I remember fondly picking wild blueberries for the first time during this trip. 2) We were fortunate enough to be able to join Uncle Dick & Auntie Mag on their 50th Anniversary as well. There are lots of great memories of celebrating with family. The Frain girls were able to share the gift of music at the church celebration. 3) Auntie Dee Leahy & I visited in 2006. We brought lots of laughter to the house when we proud westerners stopped by the roadside to buy blueberries to share(for a high price). It was especially amusing as Uncle Dick had been out picking blueberries to share with us; picking at no cost. We had a fabulous few days in Kirkland Lake. Auntie Mag made us wonderful meals, which included stuffed pork tenderloin.

To the entire McNamara Family. Our deepest sympathies go out to all of you. We have enjoyed being neighbors with Mrs. And Mr. McNamara for several years and always loved being greeted with a friendly smile, spending time enjoying the flowers, exchanging stories and reminiscing or bringing over berries to be later surprised with freezer jam…. Mrs McNamara was a Fabulous person with a Wonderful Family. She will be missed dearly. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Uncle Dick , John, Peter,Marie Pierre and all the families, Auntie Mag was a wonderful woman. I am so grateful that Brad and I were able to make it to Kirkland Lake 3 yrs ago when she turned 90. Will still never forget the time when she found out that she and Uncle Dick were my Godparents. I had known it all my life , they just didn’t until 32 yrs later!!!! Now Auntie Mag is in heaven with the rest of her siblings and Joan. She will be missed greatly by everyone here on earth, but know that she will always be watching and protecting us . She lived a very full life, has a fabulous family and has left a wonderful legacy to enjoy. This is a painful time for everyone , the tears and memories will be plentiful in this next little while, but with time it will be less painful. She will never be forgotten, God Bless take care Love her Goddaughter Sharon and Brad Hopfauf
