Margaret Claire Rocheleau
February 24, 1957 – March 27, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret “Maggie” “Margie” Rocheleau, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, and loyal friend. Maggie passed away peacefully, welcomed into eternity by her beloved son Ryan, who greeted her with open arms.
Maggie was predeceased by her parents Anita (Duguay) and Frank Rocheleau, her brother Franklin Rocheleau, and her son Ryan Jean-Louis. She is survived by her loving daughter Megan Jean-Louis (Philip) and her precious granddaughters Heidi, Hailey, Holly, and Hazel, as well as her son Shawn Rocheleau (Chris). Maggie also leaves behind her sister, Linda (Rocheleau) Wilcox, who she shared a lifetime of memories with, as well as her nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Maggie was a force of nature, known for her big personality and unfiltered honesty. She never hesitated to speak her mind and had a spirit that couldn’t be tamed. Her presence filled every room, and her bold, fiery attitude left an impression on everyone she met. The staff at Teck Pioneer Residence can certainly attest to that- Maggie kept them on their toes and brought life and laughter to those around her.
Of all her accomplishments, Maggie was most proud of her granddaughters. They were the light of her life, her greatest joy, and her truest legacy. She could often be seen zipping around town in her electric wheelchair, running errands with her granddaughters by her side, and Holly or Hazel riding proudly on the back. Together, they were a familiar and heartwarming sight- a testament to Maggie’s fierce love and devotion to her family.
Maggie’s love knew no bounds. Whether it was her children, her grandchildren, or her closest friends, she always went above and beyond to show she cared. Her love was fierce, unwavering, and often unexpected-just like her. Those who knew her understood that beneath her bold exterior was a heart of gold.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Teck Pioneer Residence for the unwavering care, respect, and dignity shown to Maggie. Your kindness and dedication made a difference in her life and brought comfort to those who loved her. Special thanks also go to the staff at Blanche River Health for making Maggie’s transition as comfortable as possible. Your compassion will never be forgotten.
