ENOUY, Lynda

1949 - 2022

In loving memory of Mrs. Lynda Jean Enouy (nee Tait). She was predeceased by her husband Bill and her nephew Joey. She is survived by her son Drew, Sister Sandra Schmidt (Brian), and Brother John Tait. She is also remembered by her niece Megan (Alan), their children Fiona and Alice, plus nephews Gavin, Robert, and Christopher.

She will be remembered as someone with an extremely sharp wit and strong use of sarcasm to make her point known. As her husband, Bill once said she researches and gets to the root of most things. She had an extreme passion for reading. As a young person, she was proud of having skipped a grade in elementary school plus catching a 21lb Northern Pike and winning the rod and gun cup award.  She was proud of her time spent working at K.L.C.V.I and the characters that she met there.  She loved working out at the Kirkland Lake complex, downhill, and cross-country skiing.

The family would like to thank Liz Robazza, Dr. Jessica Moore, the whole team at the Kirkland Lake Hospital, and the numerous friends who helped get us through.

An old joke reads.  A husband and wife are driving around in their hometown, where he is the Mayor.  They stop to get some gas, whereupon the wife recognizes the station attendant as a high-school boyfriend.  After they drive off, her husband tells her smugly “See, if you married him, you’d be working at a gas station” The wife replies, “If I’d married him, he’d be the Mayor.”

Drew, John and Sandra.

Gee this hurts my heart to hear this news.

There were a few years between Linda and myself but being Larder girls we always knew our roots and we always took the time to say hi or have a conversation. There was never a time when I didn’t see her and we would always have a laugh or two. The last time I saw her we went out in the freezing winter to have smoke. We really laughed and endured the brisk wind and cold to catch up.

My sad heart is sending you a big hug and my sincere condolences

Family and friends

Our deepest sympathies and condolences. Lynda and I were fairly new friends, but we made an immediate connection. I loved her wit, honesty and humor. We kept in touch with many, many emails on messenger, sharing day to day stuff and some serious conversations that I will always be thankful for. She will be missed by so many, especially me. RIP my friend.
