LORANGER, Lise

1960 - 2010

Lise Marie Claire Loranger died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the Temiskaming District Hospital after a five-year battle with brain cancer. Mrs. Loranger was born January 12, 1960 in New Liskeard, the seventh of ten children, to Fernande and Jean Paul Loranger. She was educated at Ecole catholique Assomption in Earlton. Mrs. Loranger worked as an Executive Secretary for Boart Longyear for 20 years. She filled her life with simple joys that many of us have come to take for granted. A consummate professional, she worked tirelessly with loyalty and devotion at even the most menial of tasks. In her generosity, it was her utmost pleasure to lose herself in what she did for others. Her way with others made it easy for Mrs. Loranger to share herself, as for her to lend an ear or a shoulder, whichever was preferred. Her smile was infectious and her laugh was contagious. Laughing along with her became an involuntary side-effect of her room-filling guffaws. Of all her pleasures, it was her family that gave her the most pride. The barest of necessities included dinner with parents, the smiling eyes of grandchildren, heartfelt tasks with her daughters and the comforting hugs from her "Big Guy". Mrs. Loranger was a member of La Paroisse Notre Dame de Bon Secours in Belle-Vallée. She married Alain Pelletier in their home in Thornloe, Ontario on August 4, 2002. Mrs. Loranger was predeceased by her father and by her sister Priscille Loranger. She is survived by her mother; siblings Lorraine, Michel (Pauline), Yvon, Carole(Gaetan), Francyne (Lucien), Philippe (Arlene), Mario (Patricia), Bruno (Teresa); children Elaine Marier, Angelle (Jason) Marier; and three grandchildren. The family of Mrs. Loranger will never forget the profound loss because of the incredible woman that she was. The family wishes to thank the medical teams at the Ottawa and Temiskaming District Hospitals. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Perrin Funeral Chapel. A service was held at Paroisse Notre Dame de Bon Secours Saturday, March 27, 2010, officiated by Father Richards. Memorial contributions to the Bikers' Reunion will be gratefully acknowledged
