Lloyd, I was shocked when I got the mail from you today with Liliane’s death notice inside. I’m so sorry to hear the sad news of her passing. Liliane and I became penpals back in the early 60’s. Over the years we corresponded, shared news of the birth of our children and pictures of the grandchildren. A number of years ago she called and we chatted on the phone and that summer you and her drove to Newfoundland so that we could finally meet. We shared a visit and a meal together for which I am eternal thankful. Since then we have exchanged greetings at Christmas time. I hope the many memories you have of your life together will help you through the days ahead. Rest in Peace my long distance friend.
