GRAVEL, Leon

Leon J. Gravel died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in Mattawa, Ontario. Mr. Gravel moved to Mattawa from Evanturel Township after retiring from a career as a dairy farmer. Mr. Gravel was born in Englehart, Ontario on November 11, 1955 to Fernand and Therese Gravel. A hard worker, he was known for cleaning up several farms in Evanturel Township. He was an avid snowmobiler and ATV enthusiast who was once actively involved in the local snowmobile club (Club Echo) as past president. He always helped others in need. He had a big heart, and was dependable and reliable. Mr. Gravel liked hunting and fishing. He was also very mechanically inclined and had an inventive spirit. Mr. Gravel is survived by his sons David and Randy Gravel. The funeral service for Mr. Gravel will take place at McDonald Funeral Home in Englehart on April 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. The service will be conducted by Steven Wuerch. Relatives and friends from New Brunswick, Mattawa and the area will be in attendance at the service. Condolences, contributions and memorial candles may be left at www.mcdonaldfuneralhome.ca.
