BRUBACHER, Lena
In loving memory of Mrs. Lena Brubacher who passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the age of 78. Lena will be missed by her husband James Brubacher, her children Richard Barker (Dianne), Sharon Aquilina, Kenny Barker (Carole), Penny Demarell (Kevin); her step children David Brubacher (Gail), Lois Carriere (Gary), Doug Brubacher (Carol), Rick Brubacher (Theresa), and Jeff Brubacher (Kelly), many grandchildren and great grandchildren, her sister Elaine Hughes (Donald) and long time friends Melody and Marc Ethier. She was predeceased by her parents Eva Caroline Wagner and Daniel Chase Hemmelgarn, her son Clifford Barker and grandson Cliff Loucks and her sister Mildred Jones. Lena was well known for her art, baking, crafting and seamstress skills. She was a Jane of all trades. She also enjoyed many hours in her garden. As a young lady she taught school with a grade eight education and continued to teach her own family as the grew. Her family meant the world to her. The family will receive family and friends at the Perrin Funeral Chapel on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 10 am until noon. The funeral service celebrating her life will follow at 2 pm from the Hillview United Church. Rev. Dr. Judith Visser officiating. If desired donations to Hillview United Church will be gratefully acknowledged.
